The 91ÇÑ×Ó Communications Team was recently recognized with two medallion awards at the National Council for Marketing and Public Relations (NCMPR) District 4 conference held Oct. 26-27 in Denver, Colo. NCMPR District 4 includes community and technical colleges in six states: Arkansas, Colorado, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas and Wyoming.

The NCMPR Medallion Awards recognize outstanding achievement in design and communication at community and technical colleges in each of NCMPR's seven districts. The regional competition is exclusive to marketing and public relations professionals at two-year colleges. 

Thirty-six colleges from throughout the six state district submitted over 300 entries.

91ÇÑ×Ó received a gold medallion award and certificate for a new presentation folder design. The judges’ called the folder, “straight forward, clean design. Follows branding guideline well.”

A bronze medallion award certificate was presented for the Texas Heritage Museum summer 2017 newsletter. One judge commented, “The newsletter is very informative, I would think the members would enjoy reading it.”

“I am so proud of my team’s work at 91ÇÑ×Ó. I joined the College nearly two years ago, and have the privilege of leading them in showcasing all of the dynamic things happening at 91ÇÑ×Ó. My team’s professionalism and creativity are second to none, and it is rewarding to see them be recognized for the great work they do at 91ÇÑ×Ó,” said Robin DeMott, director of communications. The team includes Melissa Gibson, design manager; Eric Larson, media production manager; and Kira Brandt, multimedia manager.

The NCMPR is the only organization of its kind that exclusively represents marketing and public relations professionals at community and technical colleges. As one of the fastest-growing affiliates of the American Association of Community Colleges, NCMPR has more than 1,700 members from nearly 650 colleges across the U.S. and Canada.
